WNBA star Glory Johnson announced on Instagram that her twin daughters, born prematurely on October 12, have opened their eyes.
The 25-year-old had Ava Simone and Solei Diem months early via C-section. Both weighed 1 lb. 7 oz at birth.
“Babies Ava Simone & Solei Diem arrived on Monday!” She wrote on Instagram. “Born a little earlier than expected, I have no worries because these babies are fighters just like I am.”
She also shared a quote on Instagram that says: “There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world,” along with the caption, “Mommy Love You 1 Week 4 Days #JustTheBeginning #KeepFighting #AvaSimone #SoleiDiem.”
Johnson was married to WNBA star Brittney Griner for 28 days. Before their marriage, the two were arrested for domestic violence. The day after Johnson announced she was pregnant via IVF, Griner requested an annulment of their marriage, claiming she was “unaware when the in-vitro fertilization resulting in Johnson’s pregnancy had taken place.” The annulment was denied and the two are legally married. Griner has yet to comment on the birth.
